What's Included When You Buy and Fit With Us

  • Supply of washing machines and dryers, from compact and stackable models to full-size family machines
  • Front-loading, top-loading and stackable washer-dryer combinations
  • Vented, condenser, heat pump and gas tumble dryers
  • Plumbing connection to your existing water supply and waste point, with leak testing before we leave
  • Electrical connection, or a Gas Safe certified connection for gas dryers to an existing gas point
  • Levelling, venting and stacking kit fitting for washer-dryer towers
  • Cabinet door fitting and alignment for integrated washing machines and dryers
  • Full function testing and a demonstration of the controls
  • Removal and disposal of your old machine
  • Repairs to most major brands, usually diagnosed on the first visit

Not Included / Costed Separately

  • Running a new electrical circuit or a new gas supply pipe to the appliance space -- we connect to an existing point as standard, and any new wiring or pipework is quoted separately
  • Building a new cabinet housing for an integrated appliance -- we fit and align the existing door, but a new unit is a separate joinery job
  • Extending or rerouting plumbing pipework across a room, or resolving low mains water pressure -- these are diagnosed on site and quoted before work starts
  • Manufacturer warranty repairs on the appliance itself -- these are handled by the manufacturer, though we're happy to advise on the claims process
  • Awkward access such as multiple flights of stairs or tight external doorways on old machine removal, which can add to the standard price

How a Washing Machine or Dryer Fit Actually Runs

  1. Enquiry and advice -- Call or use the contact form and talk through what you need -- household size, wash frequency, space available and whether the machine needs to be integrated or freestanding.
  2. Choosing the right machine -- We help you weigh up the practical differences, such as vented against heat pump drying, or a built-in model against a freestanding one, so the appliance matches the space and how you'll actually use it.
  3. Delivery and connection -- On the day, we connect the plumbing, waste and electrical (or gas, for gas dryers) supply, checking pressure, tightness and the existing pipework before anything is switched on.
  4. Levelling, venting and stacking -- The machine is levelled to stop it walking during the spin cycle, vented correctly if it's a vented dryer, and fitted with a stacking kit if it's going on top of another appliance.
  5. Testing and demonstration -- We run a full cycle to check everything works and show you the controls and programmes before we consider the job finished.
  6. Old appliance removal -- Your old machine is disconnected, taken away and recycled or disposed of responsibly as part of the visit.

Integrated or Freestanding: Which Suits Your Kitchen

Aspect Integrated (built-in) Freestanding
Appearance Hidden behind a matching cabinet door for an unbroken run of units Stands as its own visible appliance
Typical cost Usually costs more than an equivalent freestanding model Generally the cheaper option for the same specification
Installation Needs the cabinet door fitted, hinged and aligned as well as the appliance connected A straightforward plumb, level and connect
Replacing it later A replacement needs to match the existing case dimensions so the door still fits Any model that fits the space and connections can be swapped in
Best suited to Kitchens where a continuous run of cabinetry matters Utility rooms, garages or kitchens where a visible appliance isn't a concern

Qualified Trades on Every Connection, Not Just a Delivery

A lot of appliance retailers will sell you a washing machine and leave the plumbing and power to you or a subcontractor they've never met. We're set up differently: our plumbers are qualified to NVQ Level 2 and City & Guilds standard for every water and waste connection, and any gas dryer is connected by a Gas Safe registered engineer who tests and certifies the work. As a registered waste carrier, we can also take your old machine away and dispose of it legally rather than leaving that to you. We're members of CITB and FSB, and because appliance fitting sits alongside our joinery, plumbing and electrical trades, if an integrated appliance needs a cabinet adjusted to fit, that's a conversation with the same crew on site rather than a separate call-out.

Fitted From Our Sunny Hill Workshop

Our engineers work out of the registered workshop on Stenson Rd in Sunny Hill, Derby, which keeps us close to most of the addresses we fit into and means appliance deliveries and installation visits can usually be scheduled together. From there we cover Derby and the wider Derbyshire area, and out into Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, whether that's a terraced house with a tight utility cupboard or a new-build kitchen with an integrated appliance run already planned in.
