  • Custom recycling, composting and pantry storage built into the cabinet layout
  • Removal and recycling of your old kitchen through our waste partnership, carried out under our registered waste carrier status

Not Included / Costed Separately

  • Structural alterations such as removing walls, moving windows or extending the kitchen footprint -- these get scoped and quoted separately once your design is confirmed
  • Upgrades to your incoming gas or electricity supply needed before new appliances can be connected -- our Gas Safe engineers and Part P electricians handle everything from the meter or consumer unit onward, but supply upgrades sit with your utility provider
  • Units bought supply-only from elsewhere -- we're an independent installer for brands including Howdens, Wren Kitchens and Magnet, but the eco-credentials of materials we haven't sourced ourselves are down to the manufacturer, not something we add during fitting
  • Flooring beyond the kitchen footprint, unless it's added to your written quote at the design stage

What an Eco-Friendly Kitchen Costs

Costs vary a lot because "eco-friendly" covers everything from a straightforward swap to recycled-chipboard cabinets and A+++ appliances through to a full re-fit in reclaimed timber and natural stone. Some choices, like recycled paper composite worktops or induction hobs, sit close to standard pricing and start paying some of it back through lower energy bills. Others, such as reclaimed wood or stone surfaces, carry more of a premium for the material itself. Because every kitchen's mix of units, worktop, appliances and trades is different, we don't work from a price list -- a free design visit lets us measure the space, talk through which sustainable materials suit your budget, and put together a written, itemised quote with no hidden extras before any work is booked in.

Trades and Guarantees Behind Every Eco Kitchen We Fit

An eco-friendly kitchen only stays eco-friendly if it's fitted properly first time -- a poorly sealed worktop, a rushed appliance connection or a badly wired lighting circuit wastes more resources than any of it saves. Every trade on the job is qualified for that specific task: joinery and cabinetmaking is carried out by joiners with formal City & Guilds training and a bench-joinery background, plumbing connections including water-saving taps and dishwashers by plumbers qualified to NVQ Level 2 and City & Guilds, and any gas hob or range cooker connection by Gas Safe registered engineers who commission the appliance before they leave. Lighting and power, including LED and tritone systems, is wired by Part P registered electricians who issue full safety certificates. The team has been fitting kitchens across Derbyshire for around 20 years, and every eco kitchen carries the same 5-year labour and installation guarantee and 2-year product guarantee as the rest of the range. As a registered waste carrier, old units and offcuts are disposed of legally rather than dumped, and membership of CITB and the Federation of Small Businesses reflects the standards the team works to on site.

Eco Kitchen Installations Across Derby and Beyond

The workshop is based on Stenson Road in Sunny Hill, Derby, keeping most jobs across the city within easy reach for design visits, templating appointments and deliveries. Alongside Derby and the Nottingham area, the team regularly fits eco kitchens further into Derbyshire, including Belper, Alfreton, Chesterfield and Swadlincote. That wider reach matters for the removal side of the job too -- as a registered waste carrier, old units and offcuts are collected and disposed of legally as part of the same visit rather than left for the customer to sort out.
